Our Nursery is a Work in Progress

So Steve has been hard at work creating a new built in closet system.
He's almost ready to put the trim around the edges and finish it up. It allows for way more storage than our other closet and I'm excited to get it all organized for Bean.

Here is the rest of the room:

Note the car seat (thanks Paige!). Lots more baby stuff to go! Wyatt's crate will be removed and put in the basement (sorry Wyatt! You have to give up your bedroom, or at least learn to share it!). The white cabinet will be removed and the trim will be added on. Steve wants to paint horizontal stripes on one of the walls. Sounds difficult to me, but you know fancy Steve!

Here are my 22 week pics:
(Excuse the facial expression in the first pic. Apparently I'm having my mug shots done?)

Wyatt doesn't know what to make of the new view.

That's all for now!

Our First Post

So I've finally decided to start a blog so I can keep track of this pregnancy. I have to say, I was very superstitious up to this point and was afraid to start something in case things went awry, but I'm finally feeling confident that everything will be okay. The weeks have started to fly by and I can't believe at the end of this, Steve and I will have a baby! I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and due at the end of October / Beginning of November.

We found out we were pregnant on Friday, February 18, 2011. Blood tests confirmed on Monday that we were indeed pregnant!

Steve wouldn't believe it until he saw it in digital format (men and their toys!)

Here are Bean's mug shots over the past 22 weeks! We are staying on team yellow, and are excited to be surprised with the gender at the birth.

7 weeks (March 17, 2011, heart rate: 156bpm):

12 weeks (April 19, 2011, heart rate: 136bpm):

19 weeks: (June 10, 2011, heart rate: 150bpm)

I began to feel Bean's movements at 14w1d (May 3, 2011). I couldn't wait until Steve could feel the kicks and made him feel my tummy every time I felt something. Well, I'm happy to report that this weekend, Steve felt the kicks for the first time at 21w5d (June 25, 2011)! Now he is feeling those punts all the time. Its a wonderful experience to share. Bean must be a soccer player in there, because those kicks are getting stronger by the day!

Here is my 21 week shot:

Only going to get bigger from here!

Wyatt is very excited to be a big brother.

That's all for now!
